Mahia is on the East Coast of the North
Island between Gisborne and Napier.
There
are regular flights into Gisborne from Auckland and Wellington
where you may pick up a rental car for the 1 hour drive to
The Quarters or we can meet you at the airport.
Alternatively
you may fly in direct to Te Au's farm airstrip or helicopter
to the front door.
We
are a 6 hour drive from Wellington & Auckland or a 2 hour
drive from Napier. Don't be put off - its well worth the drive.

Driving directions
From
Gisborne or Napier you take SH2 to Nuhaka where you turn to
Mahia.
At
Opoutama do not cross the railway line but carry straight
on towards Mahanga Beach (The Quarters is approximately 10
minutes from Opoutama).
Don't
turn down to Mahanga Beach but drive on 2.5 km to The Quarters.
The
woolshed is in front of you. Carry on and take the right fork
down to Te Au farmhouse where June or Malcolm will welcome
you and accompany you to The Quarters.
